The Super Bowl is the National Football League’s championship game. It’s held every year in the United States. Originally it was a game played between the champions of the NFL (National Football League) and the AFL (American Football League). When they merged they formed the NFC (National Football Conference) and the AFC (American Football Conference) and the championship is played each year between the champions of these conferences. This championship game, the Super Bowl, is one of the most watched broadcasts on American television each year.

The first Super Bowl was held on January 15, 1967. The Green Bay Packers defeated Kansas City 35-10. It was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

A total of 12 teams have never won a Super Bowl.
