Christina Ricci is an American actress who became famous for her role in the 1991 and 1993 films of the Addams family. She was born on February 12, 1980 in Santa Monica, California, to Sarah (née Murdoch) and Ralph Ricci. Ricci has received multiple awards including a National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Satellite Award for Best Actress, as well as nominations for the Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, and Independent Spirit Awards.Christina has three older siblings, including Pia, Dante, and Rafael.
Her siblings are Rafael (born 1971), Dante (born 1974), and Pia (born 1976).
Christina was discovered when she eight years old while acting in a school play, by a critic for the Bergen Record.
Ricci’s parents separated in 1993, when she was 13, and she has not spoken to her father since.
In the 1990s Christina Ricci became a teen icon after appearing in several films such as the Addams Family, Now and Then, Casper, and The Ice Storm.
In 1997, Ricci began to appear in more adult roles, beginning with her performance as the troubled, sexually curious Wendy Hood in Ang Lee’s critically acclaimed The Ice Storm.
Christina Ricci received a nomination for a Golden Globe for her role in the 1998 movie The Opposite of Sex.

Ricci subsequently appeared in films like the independent hit Buffalo ’66 (in which she played Vincent Gallo’s unwitting abductee-turned-girlfriend), John Waters’ Pecker, and Don Roos’ The Opposite of Sex (as the acid-tongued, manipulative Dede).
Christina Ricci is considered to be one of artist Mark Ryden’s muses after appearing in more than 10 oil paintings a number of his sketches.
